ANTOINETTE

A lovely Haitian woman. Formerly worked as cook in Issa’s Galerie and when she began to paint, Issa helped her get started. Many is the time Issa would call to her affectionately, “Venez ici, Josie.  J’ai un grand soif. Du café, s’il voux plait.” And perhaps all that time, she would be planning her next canvas.
