JOEL GAUTHIER

Born in Port-au Prince, in 1955. His jungle scenes have become a genre of their own, and are widely illustrated in publications about Haitian art. He also has begun painting dreamy heads of women that are stupendous. His paintings are part of a permanent collection at the Haitian Institute in Washington, DC and were recently on exhibit at the headquarters of the Organization of American States.
