SERGE PIERRE
Serge was born
in Port-au- Prince and was highly influenced by his father, Fernand
Pierre, who was one of the five men to paint murals in the Holy
Trinity Cathedral. As a young man, Serge painted happy villages and hillsides.
When Fernande became ill, he taught his son to paint the
“tree of life” which one often sees in the Fernand Pierre works.
It is the tree that comes directly from the Garden of Eden.
And now, Serge paints this tree as well.
